Local initiatives
Pick up in store
All customers who can easily travel to the Montreal area are invited to pick up their order at our warehouse. It's possible to save delivery costs and the Girl Crush team is always very happy to receive its customers on site.
Support the community
Girl Crush is also committed to supporting the women's community by donating money to one organization per year.
- In 2020, a donation of $2 per cotton swaddle sold was given to the Le Chaînon association for a total of $5,767. Le Chaînon is the largest accommodation resource for women in difficulty in Quebec.
- In 2021, a candle sale campaign enabled a donation to the Fonceuses foundation, an organization that works with vulnerable women by providing them with tools for an amount of $260 donated. A total of $4,000 was also donated via a Christmas fundraising campaign in which each view allowed an additional amount to be donated.
- In 2022, the collection in collaboration with Claudie Mercier Body Rules will make it possible to donate $2 per order to the Relief Foundation, which aims to support people living with anxiety, depression or bipolarity.
- Also in 2022, during Boxing Day, one piece of clothing per order was donated. The Support, which helps people with disabilities, was able to raise $21,000 worth of Girl Crush clothing.
Internal initiatives
In our offices
We work almost exclusively digitally, so we use very little paper
All employees are invited to recover and compost in order to reduce waste as much as possible
We are continually rethinking our ways of doing things in order to increase our sustainable initiatives
All our employees are on a hybrid formula, in order to reduce the use of gasoline and travel
Minimal packaging
We also promote minimal packaging by eliminating virgin plastic from our supply chain. Thus, we recycle the boxes to use them in the organization of our warehouse and we also minimize the packaging for our parcels. Our thank you cards will also eventually be sticker sheets and our bags are made of cornstarch and are therefore biodegradable.
We also create labels made of recycled materials on our clothes. For us, it is important to create products made of eco-responsible materials and that the entire process reflects these values.
